Introduction

What is Hotdial.net?

Hotdial.net is an Internet Service Provider (ISP) that offers Internet Access to individuals and businesses. Though our Corporate office is located in Muskegon, Michigan, we offer service throughout the US, Canada, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

Signing Up

Is Hotdial.net service available in my area?

We have over 12,000 local access numbers. To see if we have a local number in your area check our access page here.

How long do I have to wait to use my account after I signup?

You don't! Your account is INSTANTLY ACTIVATED at completion of signing up. You can begin using your new Hotdial.net dialup and email just as soon as you setup your computer.

How long does it take to signup?

Only about 5 minutes. It's a 4 step process. Click here for a quick demo.

Connecting

Is the service Unlimited?

Yes. You may connect an unlimited number of times per day up to 15 hours of usage. This gives you 450 hours of connect time a month.

What's the difference between "Unlimited" and "Dedicated"?

Unlimited means to connect an unlimited number of times as described above while Dedicated means always on 24/7 connection. If you require an uninterrupted Dedicated connection we offer this service for $99.95 a month.

Does Hotdial.net use disconnect timers?

The old question used to be "Do you have busy signals?" Busy signals were more common in the past before ISP's started using disconnect timers. Many people either don't know how to disconnect or forget and when too many people are connected at the same time this is where busy signals come from. Almost every ISP now uses disconnect times that are set to every 3-4 hours of connect time or 10 minutes of inactivity. Our timers are set to 5 hours of constant connection. We do allow you to reconnect right away if needed up to 15 hours a day.

Nope! Unless you choose our accelerated dialup plan. The accelerated dialup works through compression software. Windows comes with it's own dialer and our dialer program is not required but highly recommend for it's ease of use and quick setup.

Web Acceleration

What is the Web Acceleration service?

Our Web Acceleration service is a high speed dialup software program that speeds up your browsing experience by up to 5 X's faster.
